One average lightning strikes
released 55kw hours energy with peak current averaging around
30,000 Amperes (3,000 Amp ~ 200,000 Amp) and it contains million
of volts, and all the energy is expended in only 100 - 300
microsecond and peak discharge current is reached in 1 - 2
microsecond.

make lightning strike (direct or indirect) can be catastrophic
